This is the 3rd verses of Ghalib’s 17th Ghazal.
GaliyoN meiN meri na’ash ko khinche phiro ke meiN
Drag my corpse in streets, because
JaN dada-e-hava-e-sar-e-reh guzar tha
While alive, I loved to roam and wander
na’ash= corpse jaN dada= love fallen hava = desire sar-e-reh guzar=corners of public streets
Meaning: While I was alive, I loved wandering streets and lanes. In this love I died. So, drag my corpse in streets and lanes. After death also, I want to roam and wander. Do not confine me in a grave.
