This is 2nd verses of Ghalib’s 17th Ghazal.

Ab meiN huN aur matam-e-yak shehr-e-aarzoo

Wailing for lost city of desire and I remained behind alone

ToDa    jo    tu    ne    Aaina,      tamsaldar   tha

Mirror of heart that you broke, was full of reflections.

matam = grief, wailing     yak=one, a   shehr-e-arzoo= town of desire      aaina = mirror, reflecting heart  tamsaldar=fully silvered for perfect reflection

Meaning: You shattered my well-silvered mirror, my heart. The mirror contained my city of desire. By breaking this mirror, you killed thousands upon thousands of my desires. Now nothing is left, except grief of my desires and I. Oh darling, by breaking my heart, you murdered my million desires.
